Miora — private travel journal. Last updated: 10 August 2026
You can delete your Miora account at any time, and you do not need to ask us to do it. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed.
The account is deleted immediately. There is no waiting period, no recovery window, and no way for us to restore it afterwards.
If you have lost the phone, uninstalled Miora, or cannot sign in, email founder@getleanos.com from the address you signed up with, asking for your account to be deleted. We will delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your Miora account — the email address you signed up with, your sign-in credentials, and the name and picture Google gave us if you signed in that way | Deleted immediately, and permanently |
| Your backup, if you made one — the journal, and every photograph, video and voice recording in it | Deleted immediately, and permanently. The files are removed before the account itself, so nothing is left behind if anything fails |
| Your session on every device | Ended immediately. You are signed out everywhere |
| Rate-limiting counters | Short-lived and not tied to an account; they expire on their own within minutes |
Your account row, your backed-up journal and all of its files are removed at once — there is no archive, no soft-delete and no retention period.
One thing does survive, and it would be wrong to leave it out. If you had crash reports switched on and Miora failed on your phone, a report was sent to our own server and written to its log. A report holds the error, the screen you were on, your app version, your phone model and Android version, and a random identifier made on your device. It holds no part of your journal, not your email address, and not your location — and because it is a line in a log rather than a row against your account, there is no way to find yours and remove it. Deleting your account does not delete it, and we will not tell you otherwise. You can stop any further ones being sent at Your Miora → Help improve Miora.
Text, audio or coordinates you sent while using Miora — to write a story, to transcribe a recording, or to name a place — were passed to the service providers named in our privacy policy at the moment you asked for them. Those transfers are governed by each provider's own retention terms, and are not something we can delete on your behalf.
